Distinguished Service Award

Lakewood Mayor Bob Murphy is honored for his work as chair of the Metro Mayors Caucus FasTracks task force. The task force was created in 2008 to study issues surrounding the buildout of FasTracks.
Mayor Murphy was selected by his colleagues in 2009 to chair this effort and has worked hard to forge consensus and provide recommendations to RTD during a difficult economic period.
He has worked very hard to respectfully understand his colleagues’ perspectives and frustrations and to find a way for the future vitality of the Denver region.
